Our story

Built from
firsthand experience

William Powers served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2012 to 2016. After leaving the service he threw himself into tech and got involved with nonprofit organizations — and kept running into the same wall: the software these groups depended on was clunky, confusing, and clearly designed by people who had never actually run a volunteer shift. He built VolunteerFlow to change that.

Our mission

Every volunteer hour should drive real impact

Too many nonprofits and event organizers are stuck using software that was clearly never designed for them — confusing interfaces, hidden features, and setup processes that feel like homework. We set out to change that. VolunteerFlow handles scheduling, reminders, communication, and tracking so your team can focus on what they actually showed up to do. Built by someone who's been in the trenches, for the people still there.

What drives us

Our values

Mission-first

We believe volunteer management software should help organizations focus on their mission, not their inbox.

Built for people

Every feature starts with the coordinator and the volunteer in mind — real workflows, real problems, real solutions.

Simple by default

Powerful tools shouldn't require a manual. VolunteerFlow is designed to be intuitive from day one.

Community impact

Every volunteer hour coordinated through VolunteerFlow is an hour spent on real impact. That ripple effect drives everything we build.
